"Art Outside the Box"

The third annual Lunchbox Silent Auction, "Art Outside the Box", will be held this Saturday, July 21 from 5:00 - 7:30pm at the Blue Heron Gallery in Wellfleet. The Lunchbox Auction is a benefit event for the Cape Cod Children's Place. Cape Cod Children's Place is a non-profit family resource center located in Eastham, MA. The auction features hand designed lunchboxes, by artists from Cape Cod and beyond.

New this year, the event will feature an "Athletes Outside the Box" section, with lunchboxes containing special sports theme contents. Some of the special contents include Red Sox tickets, and a baseball signed by Josh Beckett. Other special items have been donated by the Celtics, Bruins, Cape baseball league teams, and famous tennis players.

All proceeds from the event will be used to help support children and families on the Lower and Outer Cape, and also to help keep families to stay working on the Cape. The Cape Cod Children's Place has provided services and assistance to families on the Lower and Outer Cape since 1995. The Children's Place offers a variety of programming, including many free programs, to help families with children.
